Skin Check Truck at the NRL Grand Final: Over 70 Supporters Checked, 3 Suspected Melanomas Found

What a day at the 2025 NRL Grand Final! The Australian Skin Cancer Foundation was proud to be part of the action at Accor Stadium on Sunday, 5 October, thanks to the incredible support of Sportsbet.

While the Brisbane Broncos celebrated a huge win on the field, our team was busy winning off the field providing over 70 free skin checks for fans throughout the day. Among those checked, three suspected melanomas were detected, with each person referred for further medical review. It’s another reminder that taking a few minutes for a skin check can truly save lives.

It was a great opportunity to chat to fans throughout the day, helping raise awareness about the importance of early detection and sun safety.
