The Australian Skin Cancer Foundation takes their mission to save lives from skin cancer to the next level with the launch of Australia’s first mobile National Skin Check Truck. This groundbreaking initiative is proudly supported by MoleMap to provide free Skin Checks and full body checks to communities who otherwise may not be able to access a similar service, while further educating them on skin cancer and how to take preventative measures.

What are Spot Checks?

Our skin is always changing. New moles may appear, and existing spots can change during childhood, adolescence and even during pregnancy. This is totally normal. The complimentary Spot Checks provided by MoleMap Melanographers can offer local communities the peace of mind by taking a close look at the up to 3 moles or lesions that you may have specific concerns about. It takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes in a private room within the truck, and there is no need to undress during a Spot Check.

All MoleMap Melanographers are healthcare professionals who are specially trained in the detection and prevention of skin cancer – and accredited by the Australasian College of Dermatologists. If there are any spots of concerns picked up during your Spot Check on the Skin Check Truck, our Melanograher will

provide you with expert advice on next steps to ensure proper diagnosis can be performed by your GP after your visit. Checking skin for signs of melanoma and other forms of skin cancer is all that our Melanographers do — day in and day out — so they know what to look for.
